# X2MD

> X2MD converts public X (Twitter) articles, threads and posts into clean Markdown, PDF, plain text and ZIP archives. Free, no login. Files are generated in the visitor's browser; extracted content is not stored.

## Use the API

- GET https://x2md.de5.net/api/markdown/{postId} — returns the post as Markdown with YAML front matter (title, author, date, source). Add ?user={screenName} when known.
- GET https://x2md.de5.net/api/post?url={x-post-url} — returns JSON with markdown, text, images and metadata.
- Any X post URL works by swapping the domain: https://x2md.de5.net/{user}/status/{postId}
